Development Projects

Foyle Port is focussed on working as a Partner with customers to see projects developed from conception to completion. An example of this has been the Evermore Project in 2014/15 which has seen the delivery of a biomass power station on port lands representing £80million of inward investment to the region. The Port development sites have the advantage of the proximity to Coolkeeragh power station and the existing electricity infrastructure. The Port Executives worked with the Evermore Group to agree a flexible solution to meet their project needs. The construction of the biomass power station at Lisahally has cemented the Port’s status as a North West Energy Hub facilitating coal, oil and renewable forms of energy.
