Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners has developed and implemented an integrated Health, Safety and Environmental Management System which has been certified against ISO 14001:2004 the international standard for environmental management, ISO 9001: 2008 the international standard for quality management and BS OSHAS 18001:2007 the international standard for occupational health and safety management.
This new integrated management system, we believe is the first in any British or Irish Port to obtain all three highly recognized international standards.
Health, safety and the environment are specific agenda items at all board meetings and the Commissioners receive monthly updates in relation to these subjects.
